We waited a long time. B.A.P has broke their 1 year 9 month hiatus and returned to the Babys’ side. It’s just like the saying “The King is Back”.
We met B.A.P on the 20th in KBS2 Music Bank waiting room who came back with ‘Young, Wild & Free’. It was a long wait. Especially to fans, it would have felt longer. B.A.P said “Firstmost, we want to express our thanks to our fans” the thanks for their fans replaced the feelings of their comeback instead.
Bang Yongguk was in charge of the overall producing of this album ‘MATRIX’. With the theme of ‘youth’ with various stories to tell. Bang Yongguk said, “we prepared this during the hiatus. We wanted to produce an album with our stories, so I am honored to have the opportunity to do so this time”.
On the new album’s song, ‘Take You There,’ the whole members participated in lyric making. Youngjae explained, “Yongguk hyung picked up the song and let the members listen to it and told us that this song will be a song for the fans, so for us to think about the lyrics.” “After the memebrs heard the song, the 6 of us composed the lyrics from the beginning to the end, after that, we sent them to Yongguk hyung and it was a song that Yongguk hyung put together and finalized it.” Listening to this, Himchan added “Although I don’t have a girlfriend, it was a song I made thinking that I had a girlfriend.”
B.A.P has informed their return at their showcase on the 15th. B.A.P members stated that they were really nervous for the stage, and said “At first we were so nervous we even made mistakes, but we increasingly got better.” Himchan reminisced (the showcase) and said , “I made a mistake ever since the beginning. After my first mistake, my nervousness was lifted. I think it was a stage where the 6 of us were the most nervous.”
To B.A.P who returned, the fans went wild. Youngjae relayed his thankfulness to fans, “Because emotion and nervousness was mixed, nothing came in my thoughts” and “That’s when fan’s shouts/cheers were a big help and it touched me (heart).”
They also put their all in their music video. It imposed “Like B.A.P.” The lion statue that appeared was especially very impressive. They have raised their dignity by adding a wing to the lion which is a symbol of an ancient king. A real lion appears on the music video also. Youngjae relayed an episode, “It was a bit scary because it was a real lion, but (the lion) got close to Himchan so during the scene, (the lion) cooperated kindly. After Himchan, it was me, but (the lion) did not move at all so it was tiring.”
Himchan relayed his filming experience with the lion “After touching and patting it, I got close with the lion. When I was filming, the animal trainer said that the lion liked to be touched. Since (the lion) was raised to be a pet, it had lots of aegyos” On the other hand, Jongup provoked a laughter by saying “After Himchan filmed, I wanted to have fun also (with the lion), but the lion suddenly attacked so I ran away.
B.A.P is now preparing for 2016. “It was an eventful year. Including today’s ‘Music Bank’ first broadcast, (we are) working hard on our first broadcasts, and will try our best/give it our all since it’s an album that’s been out since a long time. I hope you guys will give us lots of cheers and supports.” revealed B.A.P on their activity impressions, as much hard times B.A.P went through, they relayed their hopes in wanting to make this year as an year where they stand on tiptoe and take that as an opportunity to move one step forwards for next year.
Also, they added that they wanted to meet with fans a bit more like a 'fan fool.’ It was B.A.P that was able to return because they had fans’ love. Being thankful with that love and repaying B.A.P, although their concepts are wild, I realized that they are a 'lovable’ group that knows how to share love. That is the reason why I am already looking forward to the B.A.P I will get to see next year.
Meanwhile, B.A.P is doing active activities with their new title 'Young, Wild & Free.’ Next February they are planning for a new album release with a concert.
